The day I found my blog was a magical day. I had been wandering through the tangled jungle of the internet world, when all of a sudden, I see a clearing ahead! And in that clearing, there amongst the waving silvery grasses and clover, was that cutest little blog I ever saw! Its eyes pleaded with me to take it home, make it peanut butter pancakes, and let it snuggle with me while I read quilting magazines be firelight. My adorable blog is so soft and cuddly that I didn't have the heart to tell it that I might not have time everyday to play with it. But, like eveything else important in life, you make time for your blog, because you can't allow it to become lonely, as a sad baby blog like mine will loose all of its hair and get "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" stuck in its head. I would consider that cruelty to animals!
My blog is a friendly critter and it needs lots of pals and attention. So here I am, looking for new buddies for my blog. If anyone out there has a cute, fluffy little blog of their own and wants to arrange a play date, let me know!
So, what do my blog and I do together? Well, I love to quilt! Madly, madly, love to quilt! I've turned my living room into my studio. I have priorities here and a room to sit in seems to be a waste of space unless I can have a sewing machine in front of me at the time. There is fabric everywhere, pins sticking out of weird surfaces, and bits of unfinished projects littering every surface. It's the most beautiful display of chaos that you've ever seen! My pet blog LOVES to hang out in my studio! It loves to dig in my scrap baskets and find brightly colored bits to make its nests with. I can't even throw the tiniest bit of my beloved fabric away. I'll think of a brilliant use someday and be glad that I have them, I'm sure! Yes, this is my attempt to justify my hording. I'm pathetic, I know! I hope there are those who also are weak willed when it comes to scraps. Hello? Anyone out there?
So today, I wish to put myself and my baby blog out there in the world and maybe find a few friends along the way. I want to talk about quilting, new patterns to try, new shops, guild gossip, brilliant ideas, tips for the new quilter and well as the experienced one, great websites to check out, and anything else that there is! We can have discussions, debates, and food fights, whatever suits your fancy! We will bring about a revolution in sewing deign! It'll be a glorious day for the fabric world! Hurrah!!! (Maybe I should switch to decaf...)
